I’ve fixed the bug that causes the No Input error to appear with the home link, user registration, user login, and user logout. Also, I have shortened the addresses in the site, just to make it a little easier.
The site has magically appeared online at musichostr.com…with a nice large red warning at the top of the screen (don’t worry, it disappears after 15 seconds). It’s the development version of the site, placed there just to figure out problems with Internet Explorer and the server (better to do it now when I have only hundreds of lines than when I have to deal with thousands). Also, as an added bonus, music uploading has indeed been enabled and basic music profiles have been implemented. I hope you guys enjoy this little treat. Now for a weekend of working on the site to get features added in.
Also, if you notice any problems with the site, submit it to the Flyspray as an anonymous task. Its link should be a few posts down on this page I think.
Ah, my old nemesis, Internet Explorer. We meet again.
The designs for the site work well in any other browser except Internet Explorer. Question is, do I design the site for one browser that has about 60% of the market or do I design it for all of the other browsers that have the rest of the market?
I’m currently working on the login module and, at the same time, getting the forms to work right. Just to give you an idea of the interface, here’s a screenshot:

I’ve made the skin fixed width but tried to give it a bright, clean look. I’ll finish it tomorrow (assuming nothing goes wrong).
I’m trying to do my own attempt at the skin for the site. This time, I’m using theGIMP so it can be better or worse than the last one (Nifty Corners and GD). Here’s the current site so far:
I still have a good bit of work but hope to have most of it done tonight.

I was down in Ocean City, Maryland for a few days this past week on what could be the world’s slowest wireless connection (highest speed: 2 KB/sec. Average speed: 241 B/sec) and wanted to work on the site. Unfortunately, due to problems with my notebook PC before the night before the trip, I didn’t get a chance to put the site on it. I was stuck down on the boardwalk with a laptop with LAMP installed. Therefore, instead of waiting, I started redoing the site (third time’s the charm, right?). Well, I’m please to announce that the site’s development is more streamlined because of this. Now, to continue the tradition by putting up a new screenshot.
Those aren’t bugs, they are accidental features.
