MusicHostr.com v2: Started
December 21, 2007 – 12:10 amFinally some well-awaited news. The revised version of MusicHostr.com has been started and user functions are close to done. The design will be based on the current design for the site, except with fluid width and a few enhancements. AJAX is going to be playing a role in this version due to the Prototype and Script.aculo.us frameworks. There are also more features that will make their appearance in this updated version, but I’ll save those for later.
On a side note, when the new version goes live, all current users will receive an email informing them how to update their passwords. This is due to the switch to a more secure method of storing passwords in the new version for precautionary purposes. I will try and post more often during the development of version 2, and assuming everything goes perfectly, might get it out within a few days after Christmas.
